Welcome Puglia

"We were with a group of 4, cyclists on a cycle holiday in Puglia. We arrived early, 7.00pm and were welcomed by the patron of the restaraunt who explained the dishes available. I was surprised by the variety of dishes on offer. We ordered a variety of dishes which were freshly cooked and all delicious. The restaurant is newly refurbished, chef produced excellent, tasty dishes and great house wine.. I and my friends thoroughly enjoyed all the disheseccomend"

"We loved this place. The food is amazing, the service impeccable and the dining rooms, situated in the historical center of Putignano, are just beautiful. The dining rooms are cut into rock, making the walls and ceilings a work of art. While we were there the owner, Giuseppe, came by to make sure everything was to our liking. It was obvious that he cares about his customers. But the best part really is the food. I had a Semolina pasta dish with clams that was absolutely fantastic. I loved it. My wife had the eggplant parmigiana (which I tried) and it also was fabulous. She was still talking about how good it was the next day. Another wonderful touch was the house wine. We ordered a half liter of Primativo and were blown away by how good it was. I wasn't expecting such a high quality wine, but this is the kind of restaurant this is. One that exceeds your expectations. I can't say enough good things about Welcome Puglia. Go there. You won't be disappointed."

"We enjoyed the experience here! Food was delicious, highly recommend to try onion calzone and fried bread balls (paprika sauce next to it was just wow). For main we had different types of Orecchiette, all of them were really good! Atmosphere is very nice, cozy and clean! The owner is very welcoming and friendly, waitress was also very nice and friendly, everyone speaks english here, so it’s easy to communicate. :) Thanks a lot!"

"The food was okay, but nothing special. The service was quite slow. We’re not sure if it was because we were tourists, but local customers seemed to be served faster. Also it was quite loud inside."

"We had an excellent meal in Giuseppi's restaurant. It was a mix of some typical local dishes and other inventive tasty food. Giuseppi was also very generous sharing recommendations for delicious food in other local restaurants. He also runs a B&B beside his restaurant which was very comfortable and he was really helpful with information. Great guy! We hope to return next year. Robert and Beverley"
